How do I repair the lacking gray half?

I lastly determined to repair my stick drift on each controllers and simply seen that there's a bit of gray half lacking on the left joystick, which explains why my joystick will stick in place typically. I’ve a spare analog stick, is there any means I might take away the gray half from the spare analog stick and change the lacking half in my controller? I'm shit at soldering so if there's any means to do that with out taking the entire board aside and eradicating the previous analog stick, that will be superior :,)
